Mr Chapman: If you haven't been reading The Upheaval, N.S. Lyons' substack, may I suggest you have a look at it. Many points of contact, although he's not specifically about banking and finance. I would love to see a "panel discussion" between the two of you.
It strikes me that these folks need to be careful for what they wish. After all, biodiversity thrives in warmer climates, not in colder ones, so any effort to improve biodiversity may require significantly more greenhouse gas emissions to warm the planet as much as possible so that all forms of life can thrive and new forms can more readily evolve.
I'm principally concerned with the deliberate obfuscation of the role of a central bank which erodes their social welfare function and an bestows powers they have no right to acquire. In the case of that last concern we have already strayed far beyond any safe boundaries.
Completely agree with that argument. central banks have enough trouble doing their own job rather than trying to address issues for which they are manifestly unsuited like climate change.

Thank you James, I find I'm already a subscriber, though regret to say I have not been a diligent reader. That will now change.

Perhaps this is the goal :)
